 Executive Biographies

Jason Aspin – Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Jason Aspin is responsible for driving corporate engineering strategy and business development. An innovator and design engineer of extraordinary talent, Jason is committed to creating alternative means of power generation. He dedicates a considerable amount of his time to designing solutions which are both socially and environmentally responsible.

A native of Prince Edward Island, Jason is a graduate in marine engineering from the Canadian Coast Guard College with specializations in power engineering and systems integration. Co-founder of AKA, he has over twenty years of progressive experience in systems engineering in the Marine, Offshore Petroleum and Industrial environments. Jason has travelled the world for AKA, providing project management and technical support/expertise in the design, development, implementation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of automated process control systems.

Jason is also recognized for the development and delivery of system-specific training. An accomplished instructor, his courses have been lauded as extremely informative, practical, and inspiring. 

Neale Kemp – Chief Operating Officer

Fascinated by the power of well-executed graphic and text design, Neale Kemp has concentrated his expertise in print communication and training on creating within AKA the ability to generate high level operation manuals for use in the marine and offshore industrial environments. His commitment to delivering meticulously structured, beautifully designed, thoroughly cross-referenced, and easily readable instructional materials has garnered AKA recognition for the superior quality of its technical documentation.

Originally from Australia, Neale holds a Master of Science (Science Education) from Curtin University in Perth. In his capacity as COO, Neale is responsible for corporate administration, finance, marketing, and business development. Since co-founding AKA, he has dedicated himself to creating a company that is client-oriented, reliable, innovative, creative and nimble.

Paul Jamer – Vice President Corporate Development

Paul brings to AKA more than 25 years of experience in the Marine industry. A graduate of the Canadian Coast Guard College’s Marine Engineering program, Paul is in possession of a First Class Marine Engineering Certificate. In addition to extensive experience as a project manager and engineering superintendent, he has been a successful consultant to both marine and shore-based industry. Paul is well known in the field of machinery and plant reliability and has considerable expertise designing and implementing condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs. Recently, he has been instrumental in the development and marketing of landmark initiatives that have allowed AKA and its strategic partners to lead the world in the successful deployment of environmentally conscious technologies in the marine industry.
