Manufacturing Unit
Aspin Kemp & Associates PEI (AKA PEI) operates from Stratford, Prince Edward Island and is the design and fabrication centre for Aspin Kemp & Associates. In 2009, it relocated to a new, 10,000 square foot facility where it manufactures electrical power and control systems. Previously, key components were fabricated for us by third-parties. The advent of AKA PEI now allows us to better monitor the quality of our manufactured products and to more effectively meet the requirements and schedules of our clients. Not only does the facility include a shop but will soon be home to a research laboratory and testing facility for current and future technologies.
Specifically, AKA PEI manufactures the following:
- switchboard and control cabinets for hybrid power generation and control systems for tugboats;
- electrical and control cabinets for the automation industry with particular emphasis on the marine and offshore oil and gas sectors;
- energy conversion technologies used in the marine and renewable energy sectors;
- mission critical control power supply systems for industry elements requiring the highest reliability;
- advanced generator protection systems.
AKA PEI is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aspin Kemp & Associates.
